Click the mouse with the option key down if you wish to change the center of rotation, then drag the mouse to rotate the selected graphics.

  • Flip Horizontal
Mirror the selected graphics about a vertical axis.

  • Flip Vertical
Mirror the selected graphics about a horizontal axis.

  • Arrange

    • Bring To Front
Move the selected graphics to the front of all other graphics in the drawing.

    • Bring Forward
Move the selected graphics one step toward the front.

    • Collect Toward Front
Move the selected graphics toward the front so they are all together at the position of the frontmost selected graphic.  In other words, the frontmost graphic in the selection stays where it is and all of the selected graphics in back of it move forward to where it is.

    • Shuffle Forward
Move the rearmost selected graphic toward the front until it is just in front of what was originally the frontmost graphic.

    • Send To Back
Move the selected graphics to the rear of all other graphics in the drawing

    • Send Backward
Move the selected graphics one step toward the back.

    • Collect Toward Back
Move the selected graphics toward the back so they are all together at the position of the rearmost selected graphic.  In other words, the rearmost graphic in the selection stays where it is and all of the selected graphics in front of it move back to where it is.

    • Shuffle Backward
Move the frontmost selected graphic toward the back until it is just behind what was originally the rearmost graphic.

  • Blend
The blend mode used to combine the selected graphic with those below it. For example, blend modes can be used to lighten, darken, or otherwise change the colors of other graphics. Blend modes require Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

  • Paths

    • Reverse Paths
Reverse the direction of the selected path(s) (i.e., swap the start and end points).

    • Combine Paths
Combine multiple paths into a single compound path (i.e., a path with multiple contours).

    • Separate Paths
Break compound paths into multiple paths.

    • Average Points
Move multiple path points to their average location.

    • Join Points
Join two path points together with a straight line segment.
This may combine two paths into one.

    • Break Point
Separate a single path point into two unconnected points.
This may separate one path into two.

    • Unite Paths
Combine the selected path(s) with a union operation.

    • Intersect Paths
Combine the selected paths with an intersection operation.

    • Exclude Paths

    • Subtract Paths
Combine the selected paths with a subtraction operation.

  • Convert

    • To Image
Convert one or more graphics into an image. The new image will use the document's export resolution setting.

    • To Pattern
Copy the selected graphics to the Pattern Editor to create a new pattern.

    • Picture For Editing
Convert a vector QuickDraw picture to Intaglio graphics to be edited.

    • PDF For Editing
Convert a PDF image to Intaglio graphics to be edited. This will handle most common PDF files. Since PDF is intended to display graphics rather than exchange them for editing, a few PDF constructs don't completely transfer.

    • Stroke To Fill
Convert a path so the area painted when stroking the path becomes the area painted when filling the path.

    • Arcs To Curves
Convert the arc segments in a path to curve segments.

    • Text To Path
Convert a text block into a path containing equivalent lines and curves.
This allows the glyph outlines to be edited as a path, but the characters can no longer be typed as text.

    • EPS To PDF
Convert an EPS image to a PDF image.

  • Align
Show the Align panel to allow multiple graphics to be aligned and/or distributed.

If one selected graphic is locked that graphic won't move during alignment, the other graphics will move around it. If more than one selected graphic is locked an error is reported.

  • Align Again
Perform an align operation using the current settings of the Align panel.

  • Align To Grid
Align the selected graphics to the current grid settings of the document. The point aligned will be taken from the origin set in the Geometry attribute inspector.
